Although workouts are not being posted on this blog and it is not being kept current, CrossFit Quantico is still conducting regularly scheduled classes at 0700 and 1130.

As always, your punctuality and dedication are appreciated. CFQ requires consistency and a willingness to work hard.

People often wonder why we perform gymnastics exercises--where the primary aim is body control. GYMNASTICS AND TUMBLING (published in 1943 by the Naval Institute Press), offers five pertinent reasons:

1) To give training in the native sense of balance

2) To equip the future pilot (or trainee--parenthesis mine) with strength and skill to extricate himself effectively from emergency situations requiring climbing, vaulting, tumbling and balance

3) To develop daring and courage

4) To accustom the cadet to being upside down for extended periods

5) To teach falling and landing without injury

CrossFit Quantico supports these objectives and puts them into practice regularly.
